Claypot rice is a traditional and famous food in Guangdong Province. So, we can say that it is one of the Cantonese food. The types of the clay pot rice included dried meat, mushroom chicken, spare ribs with black bean sauce, pig liver, braised duck, plain boiled sliced chicken, and many more. There are few simple steps in order to make clay pot rice. First of all, wash a claypot and put the rice into it. Then, pour appropriate amount of water and shut the lid. After that, cook the rice and when it is 70% done, add in all the ingredients. Lastly, cook the clay pot with a slow fire. The seller of clay pot rice told us that the ingredients are crucial to the flavor of the clay pot rice. When the rice absorbs the cream of the dried meat, it will give off a strong pleasant smell. The effect is stronger when the dried meat has both fat and lean meat.
As we know that Kampar is quite famous with cloypot chicken rice, among those choices we had chosen Lam Kee claypot chicken rice due to its postive customers feedbacks and affordable price. Lam Kee is located at Kampar old town which approximately a 5 minutes of walking distance from the cinema.
While we were waiting for the dishes at Lam Kee Coffee Shop, we asked a customer for feedback. She said she had come several times to eat the clay pot chicken rice and she claimed that it is the best clay pot chicken rice in town. Then, we looked for another customer’s feedback. He is a father who brought his family to there for a taste on the clay pot chicken rice. He said calmly “The best clay bowl chicken rice in Kampar”. After we enjoyed the clay pot chicken rice, we looked at each other and said “It is the best clay pot chicken rice in Malaysia!”
